Jose Marti Airport Terminal 3 in More Detail

Terminal three is the most recently built terminal at Jose Marti International Airport. It was built in 1998 to work as the main terminal for the airport and as such is the most modern and advanced. It is situated north of the airport’s main runway and handles all international flights in and out of the airport. 25 international airlines schedule flights to the terminal travelling to over 60 destinations in 30 countries worldwide.

Being the most modern terminal, the upper level includes an array of modern amenities and facilities for passengers. The departure lounge has the pre-requisite ticketing counters and check in desks, as well as a variety of restaurants, bars, a bank, and even a post office. The lower level of the terminal comprises mainly the arrivals lounge and baggage carousels, but also includes several car rental kiosks so passengers can hire vehicles to tour the beautiful island.

The Cuban government were so proud of the Terminal when it opened that Fidel Castro and the Prime Minister of Canada, Jean Chretien, took part in its opening ceremony.
